You know the feeling you get when you find a dollar or, better yet, five or ten bucks in a pair of jeans you haven’t worn in awhile. It’s like you hit the lottery, and whatever crappy feeling you might have been experiencing just dissipates. Perhaps today is that day where you really need to find that dollar.
My daughter leaves dollars all over the place. It’s up to me to pay attention and find them. Even on the most difficult days, somewhere there is dollar waiting to be found. It might be in a smile I’ve never seen before, a new consonant she’s trying out, or something new she’s never seen before frolicking out in my backyard. Those have become my new dollars. Sometimes, during a particularly rough day, you forget to look for those dollars. This is just my reminder to all you moms out there giving it your best go to remember to look for those dollars. When you find them, you’ll know you’ve hit the jackpot.
